NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin was on “The Herd,” with Colin Cowherd and explained the scenario that he thought could get Deion Sanders to coach the Dallas Cowboys.

Cowherd asked Irvin if he believed that Sanders would coach the Cowboys if the team drafted his son, Shedeur, in the first round of the NFL Draft and Irvin laughed before agreeing wholeheartedly.

“I believe 100%, and I can tell you good sources have told me that, great sources have told me that,” said Irvin. Irvin had previously asked Sanders about his interest in coaching the Cowboys to which the former cornerback responded by saying he was happy at Colorado.

Sanders is the current coach of the Colorado Buffaloes who he has led to a 8-2 record and No. 16 ranking in the College Football AP Poll. The Hall of Fame cornerback is one of the most popular names to coach the Cowboys if the team moves on from current head coach Mike McCarthy who is in the final year of his deal.

Irvin and Sanders played together from 1995-1999 winning the 1996 Super Bowl 27-17 over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
