Bridgewater spent his final NFL season with the Detroit Lions, offering veteran depth before retiring to pursue a high school coaching role.
However, Bridgewater appears ready for an NFL return. The 32-year-old announced his intentions on social media this week, stating he would consider opportunities after his high school season concludes.
“So many QB jobs available for me after we make this state title run. I can’t wait to return back to the NFL,” Bridgewater posted on X.

In 2023, Bridgewater didn’t play for the Lions, staying behind starter Jared Goff and mentoring rookie Hendon Hooker as he recovered from a torn ACL.
Bridgewater’s last full-time starting season came in 2021 with the Denver Broncos, where he started 14 games, completing 66.9% of his passes for 3,052 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
Over his nine-year career with six NFL teams, Bridgewater accumulated 15,120 passing yards, 75 touchdowns, and 47 interceptions.
