Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions are reluctant to lose Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn to head-coaching offers but acknowledge both are prepared for the challenge.

Glenn, now in his fourth year as the Lions’ defensive coordinator, has drawn interest from multiple teams seeking new head coaches. Reportedly, he has interviewed with the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets.

Linebacker Alex Anzalone strongly endorsed Glenn during an appearance on The Adam Schefter Podcast. He praised Glenn’s readiness to lead a team, equating him with Campbell in leadership and cultural impact.

“Everything said about Dan regarding leadership, culture, and development applies to A.G. as well,” Anzalone stated. “In my mind, they’re among the best I’ve been around. A.G. is ready for a head coaching role. I’ve watched him grow as a coordinator, and it’s inspiring. He’s also one of the best defensive teachers I’ve encountered.”

Lions LB Alex Anzalone insists Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn “is on the same level” as head coach Dan Campbell.
