The Detroit Lions begin their postseason on Saturday, hosting the Washington Commanders at Ford Field in the Divisional Round.

This marks Detroit’s first playoff game after earning the NFC’s No. 1 seed and a first-round bye. Quarterback Jared Goff is expected to lead the Lions to victory, with fans hoping the four-time Pro Bowler continues his impressive season.

Goff’s wife, Christen Goff, shared an announcement on Instagram Friday ahead of the much-anticipated game. A Valencia, California native, Christen has been helping amid the devastating wildfires affecting southern California. Jared Goff, also from California, hails from Novato and attended Marin Catholic High School and the University of California, Berkeley.

The couple announced a partnership with Michigan-based Crain Homes to assist wildfire victims. As highlighted in the post, they are seeking support from Detroit residents to aid those impacted by the tragedy in California.

The Goffs and Crain Homes are auctioning two VIP tickets to Saturday’s game at Ford Field. Christen Goff explained on Instagram Stories that all proceeds will benefit California Strong, a nonprofit organization.

Interested fans can place bids online for a chance to win front-row VIP tickets, VIP parking, early stadium access, and all-inclusive food and beverages in a luxury setting.

According to CNN, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated the city is making progress against wildfires. Bass plans to issue executive orders next week to focus on rebuilding, emphasizing that “there is no greater priority than getting people back home.”
