Which recent Celtic made an impact?

This summer, the Celtics dealt Kristaps Porzingis, acquiring Georges Niang as one of the assets in return.

Niang has faced significant backlash from fans who are already calling for his trade, even though he hasn’t played a single game in Boston yet.

The animosity originates from an incident that occurred during a playoff match involving him and Jaylen Brown, while concurrently, fans are displeased with the trade from a practical perspective.

Niang recently appeared on “The OGs” podcast, discussing the emotions the fanbase has towards him.

Niang expressed, “I’m a kid from Boston.” They don’t care that I’m from Boston; they act like you’ve just swapped their unicorn for a minivan.

Porzingis wasn’t always healthy and present on the court, but he was much more enjoyable for the fans to have on their team compared to their expectations for Niang.

Niang expressed that regardless of the situation, he is prepared for the challenge of playing in Boston, particularly next season, as the Celtics will require players to rise to the occasion while Jayson Tatum is unavailable.

Niang indeed holds the remarkable NBA record for the most wins by players since 2020.

He has secured 295 victories, 4 games in front of his new teammate Jayson Tatum.

Niang has found success with winning teams like the Jazz, 76ers, and Cavaliers.

He aims to create a beneficial influence on the Celtics, similar to what he accomplished with other teams in recent seasons.
