NFL, Netflix Announce Snoop Dogg as Halftime Performer for Vikings-Lions Christmas Day Game

The NFL and Netflix have officially announced Snoop Dogg as the halftime performer for their Christmas Day matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.

Snoop Dogg will take the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis during halftime of the Vikings-Lions game on Dec. 25, which is scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET and will stream live on Netflix as part of the NFL Christmas Gameday slate.

“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re serving music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement. “That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”

Netflix revealed the announcement with a playful video shared across social media platforms, continuing its push to make Christmas Day football a must-watch entertainment event.

The Vikings vs. Lions showdown is one of three NFL games scheduled for Christmas Day. Netflix will also stream the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game beginning at 1 p.m. ET, while Prime Video will carry the evening matchup between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs at 8:15 p.m. ET.

Last season, Netflix debuted its NFL Christmas Gameday coverage with a headline-making halftime performance from Beyoncé during the Ravens-Texans game, an event dubbed the “Beyoncé Bowl.”

This year, Snoop Dogg headlines the holiday stage, adding another high-profile music moment to the NFL’s growing Christmas Day tradition. Fans can expect a festive blend of football, entertainment, and holiday vibes when the Vikings and Lions clash on Christmas afternoon.
