When asked about Myles Garrett moving to the Detroit Lions, Aidan Hutchinson responded, “That would be deadly.”

Hutchinson also spoke highly of Garrett on a personal level, mentioning that the Browns star reached out after he suffered an injury. “He’s a great guy. We’ve run into each other over the years at different events, and he even texted me when I got hurt. That meant a lot. If he somehow ended up here, it’d be incredible—but who knows?”

Garrett recently made headlines by requesting a trade from Cleveland, citing a strong desire to compete for a championship. Despite his request, the Browns have made it clear they have no plans to move the six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro.

However, that hasn’t stopped speculation from Hutchinson, his teammates, and Lions fans. Amon-Ra St. Brown also weighed in on his podcast, emphasizing how much of an impact Garrett would have in Detroit.

“Him with Aidan, Alim McNeill, and D.J. Reader? Man, that would be crazy,” St. Brown said. “If your defensive line is dominant, you don’t even need elite corners. You can just play off that pressure.”

Since being drafted first overall in 2017, Garrett has been one of the NFL’s top pass rushers. The 2023 Defensive Player of the Year has averaged at least 12.8 sacks per season and hasn’t dipped below double-digit sacks since his rookie year.
