Earlier this week, the Wisconsin Badgers made Zavier Zens an offer to join their men’s basketball program.
After having previously made a commitment to Northern Iowa, Zens is now scheduled to see the Badgers. Zac Bellman of the Journal Sentinel was the first to break the news that the 6-foot-7 forward had received offers from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Utah State. Mark Miller of the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbooks reports that Zens has now scheduled a meeting with the three of them.
From April 10 to 13, the three-star recruit will be extremely busy. On April 10, he will first be at Utah State. On April 13, he completes his trio of visits in Madison after stopping in Illinois two days later.
On August 1, 2025, Zens made public his dedication to the Panthers. When Ben Johnson, Northern Iowa’s head coach for 20 years, accepted a position at Utah State, Zens petitioned for a release from his NLI.
Because of Zens’ connection to Jacobson, it makes perfect sense that Utah State is in the running. However, since he is now a member of the Wisconsin Lutheran High School team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, it may depend on how important it is for him to remain in the state.
