According to a rumor, Liverpool is getting worried that they won’t be able to get Romeo Lavia from Southampton this summer and is considering players from Bayern Munich and Manchester City as replacement signings.

Lavia has drawn the interest of Liverpool for a while now. At first, they thought he may eventually succeed current defensive midfielder Fabinho. However, when Fabinho reached a personal agreement with Saudi club Al Ittihad, the Reds were compelled to accelerate those plans.

Since then, Fabinho has been confirmed as a member of Al Ittihad, and Jordan Henderson has joined Al Ettifaq. Despite the recent additions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, such acquisitions have left Liverpool lacking in the midfield region.

Liverpool has made a lot of effort to acquire Lavia. They put in a bid of £37 million, but Southampton quickly rejected it.

On Tuesday, Jurgen Klopp’s team made a second £41 million offer. However, the Saints, who want £50 million to sell, once again denied this.

Lavia is only 19 years old, and Liverpool believes this figure is exorbitant given that Southampton are now in the second tier.

They are now prepared to end the conversation if Southampton doesn’t decrease their demand. Additionally, The Independent has offered some insight into possible future transfer targets for Liverpool.

According to rumors, Liverpool is considering making a significant offer for Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern. The 21-year-old might be given permission to quit Bayern this summer after becoming dissatisfied with his lack of playing time the previous season.

Ryan Gravenberch has returned to Liverpool, and a link to Man City has also been noted
Liverpool has previously been said to be interested in signing Gravenberch, as evidenced by numerous stories from earlier this year. However, it currently appears that Gravenberch is one of Klopp’s preferred choices as he selects replacements for Lavia.

The Dutchman may be moving for just €30 million (£25.7 million) during the current transfer window, according to rumors. Gravenberch has enormous potential, which Bayern is failing to help him realize, therefore Liverpool would get a lot for their money.

Liverpool is looking at a number of midfielders as they widen their transfer horizons, including Gravenberch. The Merseyside giants are also monitoring City’s Kalvin Phillips, according to The Independent.

The England international cost Pep Guardiola’s team £45 million when he left his hometown club Leeds United for City in July of last year.

As Rodri continues to dominate in the role of defensive midfielder for City, he has found it difficult to make an impact. Phillips, however, has remained optimistic and has been vocal about his desire to continue interfering with Guardiola’s plans.

Phillips has sworn devotion to City when questioned in the past about a potential transfer to West Ham. However, considering Liverpool’s storied past and probable quest of titles next season, things might change if they make an approach.

Given Phillips’ previous problems at the Etihad, some Liverpool supporters could be concerned about the team signing him. But there is ample evidence to support the claim that Klopp is the perfect coach to restore Phillips’ self-confidence and enable him to shine once more.

According to sources, there is a “good chance” Liverpool may also recruit a Brazilian international this summer.

Jurgen Klopp delivered the Liverpool team a direct warning: from the first day of preseason “We had better do that.”

Jurgen Klopp spoke ahead of Liverpool’s pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich in Germany

Exciting knockouts against German second-tier teams and a challenging match against relegated Premier League rivals will be worth them.

However, Liverpool will learn more about their pre-season preparations when they step onto the pitch once again at the National Stadium in Singapore this evening.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, former rival of Jurgen Klopp, will be a familiar foe in the penultimate friendly of the Reds’ warm-up programme.

While unlike last year, other injuries have been prevented so far, the interruption this time is the loss of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabia and the scramble to replace them, which had been thought Midfield renovations have largely been done with the £95m signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Bayern, as boss Thomas Tuchel admitted on Tuesday, are not without their own problems in sixth place, as they also have to deal with the aftermath of the players losing to Saudi Arabia when the former’s forward Liverpool, Sadio Mane join the exodus. Their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is still ongoing.

They would, however, represent a significant increase in the level the Red Devils have faced in recent weeks, with Bayern narrowly losing 1-2 to Manchester City in Japan last week before hitting defeated J1 League side Kawasaki Frontale 1-0 on Saturday.

“Without a doubt, this is the most difficult game for us,” said Klopp. “We have seen similar footage from their previous matches in Japan, including the one against Manchester City. Bayern has a tradition of being a very good team.

“They have four world-class centre-backs, two world-class midfield pairs, attack speed, everything and technique, finishing skills. It’s quite impressive.

“But we want a strong opponent, so this is definitely the most difficult test for us before this season. That’s what we need right now. “I’m very excited. I can see where we are, how we can adapt to the quality of the opponent. From the first day we came back to prepare for the season, I tried my best. Try to make our defense work stably.” a whole different level from last season. We should do it or we’ll be in real trouble.

The uncertainty caused by unexpected departures means that, despite careful planning, preparations are not ideal for Liverpool as they look to regain their Champions League spot after For the first time since 2016.

Indeed, Klopp is not even thinking of launching a fourth title challenge in six seasons – and has suggested that only Manchester City can be so ambitious.

“We need points and lots of points,” he said. “Yes, a club of Liverpool’s caliber must succeed. If not, the club must find another solution.

“Nobody except Man City can have a real goal of being champions again this year. All the other teams are fighting for the Champions League and that’s what we’re doing. The sooner you qualify for the Champions League, the higher you are in the table… if you’re second and a significant distance from first, you might have a chance. I don’t know who will be there.

“For us, it’s not about that. It was Bayern, Darmstadt and then Chelsea. These are the games that I am thinking of. “It’s important to bring together the best players, that’s to create the atmosphere, the spirit and the common desire that we can really use as a basis to make the best season possible. If we can do that, we’ll be in a good position.

More than 50,000 supporters are expected to attend Wednesday’s match – most of them Liverpool supporters – with the Reds’ significant presence in the city during their stay.

“We are closer to part of our fan base,” said Klopp. “It was a huge fanbase. Unbelievable. People are camping in front of our hotel and waiting for us every day.

“The game will be sold out – and I know it has nothing to do with us, because Bayern are also famous. Every now and then, no matter how nasty the weather and travel, we have to show up because we can’t expect everyone to watch us on TV all the time.

“We have to show that we are human, that they can get autographs. Despite all the hassles we face in making a trip like this, we are really happy to be here.
