A quick superstar who supposedly decided to transfer to Real Madrid has drawn interest from Manchester City and Liverpool in the past. But could the transfer take a turn?

For a player who may soon surpass Real Madrid in Premier League speed, Liverpool and Manchester City may soon challenge them.

The captains of both northwest teams have left their respective clubs, with Jordan Henderson leaving Liverpool for Al-Ettifaq and Ilkay Gundogan departing Manchester City for Barcelona.

But because Real Madrid has been associated with a player who was once a target for both teams, the Premier League rivals may end up competing for the same player.

Despite being linked with a move to England in recent months, Spanish outlet Defensa Central claims that Alphonso Davies, a superstar for Bayern Munich, has sworn to Real president Florentino Perez that he will join Los Blancos in 2024.

Should Liverpool and City renew their interest, the quicksilver Canadian, who might become the quickest player in the Premier League if he joined, might be at the center of a bidding war.

According to the Toronto Sun, Liverpool was reportedly interested in signing Davies back in 2018 while he was still playing in Major League Soccer. However, since then, Davies has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Andy Robertson, who is 29 years old. More recently, in April, German journalist Florian Plettenberg allegedly stated that City had increased their interest in the full-back.

If Davies were to sign, either City or Liverpool might get a new dimension because to his legendary speed. However, the urge to bring Davies to England may have diminished since both teams have turned their attention to Josko Gvardiol this summer.

The 22-year-old wants to play in a more advanced position than left-back and may have to leave Bavaria to do so, according to The Mirror.
