On Tuesday, we covered Brazil’s claim that Liverpool had been contacted about a deal for Andre Trindade. It is also reported that Fluminense wants to keep their star until the end of the year.

The Red Devils are looking to add at least one more midfielder to their squad after allowing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to move to Saudi Arabia.

UOL said Liverpool’s priority is to still sign Roméo Lavia from Southampton while Andre is considered a plan B, or more likely an additional target.

Jurgen Klopp’s army can ‘depend’ on super agent Jorge Mendes to bring the Brazilian international to Anfield. UOL says Fluminense is ready to accept between 25 million euros and 30 million euros, on the condition that the midfielder leaves in early 2024.
According to AS, Liverpool consider the 22-year-old a ‘natural replacement’ for Fabinho and have made initial contacts with Fluminense.

AS explained that “the operation took a 180-degree turn” because there had been a radical change in the situation. It is thought that Fluminense will need a ‘much larger amount’, between 30 million euros and 40 million euros including bonuses, to sell the player this summer.

The report says that Liverpool, for their part, want to complete the Andre deal ‘in record time’ so he can join Klopp as soon as possible. The two clubs have now been in contact and AS has clarified that “nothing is closed” for André’s move to Anfield.
