Liverpool transfer information:
A few interesting claims emerged, including that Kylian Mbappé wanted to borrow money and a $66 million “target” was available.

Many Premier League clubs still have a lot of work to do in the transfer market this summer, but Liverpool are generally one of those who have finished their work earlier before the rush.

This time around, however, thanks in large part to surprise moves to Saudi Arabia for Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, Liverpool have yet to strike a few deals.

At least one more midfielder is required, with Roméo Lavia being considered and 22-year-old Brazilian Andre Trindade, according to Sky Sports, also considered. And then you have to bring in another defender, a player on the left wing that is on target.

Adding three more players will be a daunting task (or at least three of the right ones – not just anyone), but the market priorities are clear to new sporting director Jörg. Schmadtke.

Even so, two other attacking players have been announced to move to Anfield in the latest rumors. Here is Liverpool.com’s verdict on the transfer rumors swirling around the Red Devils today.

 (Real Madrid)

PSG slump to home defeat against Rennes

Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all ‘warned’ that Kylian Mbappe will spend a season on loan in the Premier League before joining Real Madrid, the Daily Star reports.

That is why PSG are said to be willing to accept a one-year loan deal for a player in the final 12 months of his contract, which has already been paid for $331m (£259m / £300m). million euros) from Saudi Arabia this summer, not explained.

Even a substantial loan fee won’t make up for the money PSG could lose if the deal goes away permanently, so while the player may be ready to leave, don’t bet on that really happen.

Liverpool.com says:
Mbappé will not be going to Anfield, so the best thing for Liverpool is for him to leave the Premier League. Real Madrid is a must this summer or next.

Federico Chiesa (Juventus)

Italian publication La Gazzetta Dello Sport (print edition, via Paisley Gates) reports that Federico Chiesa will be allowed to leave Juventus this summer for just $44 million (£35 million/€40 million), or One-third discount from the first asking price. The Old Lady initially asked for $66 million (£52 million/€60 million) but no one was found to accept it.

Earlier last month, Corriere dello Sport suggested that Chiesa’s agents had traveled to English shores to offer the striker to Liverpool and other clubs, while the Serie A side appeared keen to cash out.

But the truth is that Liverpool have more priorities before counting on another attacking player. There is simply no need or room for another winger at the moment as the Reds are chasing more midfielders, and at least one defender is a must. Liverpool.com says:
The relationship with Chiesa is going nowhere but that doesn’t mean his interest in a move to Liverpool is as strong as his desire to join the Red Devils. Liverpool are unlikely to be tempted unless prices drop significantly again.
