Liverpool transfer update: mohamed Salah Saudi bid, Kylian Mbappe’s decision was made, and Romeo Lavia latest

Liverpool transfer news, rumours, gossip and speculation including the latest on Mohamed Salah Kylian Mbappe, Andre Trindade, Romeo Lavia, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Thiago Alcantara.

Even though the Premier League isn’t back for another few days, Jurgen Klopp and his team are in action this evening when they play Bundesliga team Darmstadt at Preston North End’s Deepdale Stadium.

Kylian Mbappe’s miserable summer at Paris Saint-Germain in terms of transfers appears destined to continue as he will reportedly begin training separately from the rest of the Parisians’ first team on Monday. While this is going on, it is said that the Saudi Pro League has made Mohamed Salah a sizable offer.

Romeo Lavia, a 19-year-old Southampton midfielder, is still being linked to a move by Liverpool, who have already had two bids for him rejected. For the Saints’ Championship debut against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, the Belgian was listed as a reserve.

Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain appears no closer to being resolved with the Frenchman set to begin training away from the club’s ‘A’ team on Monday.

The Frenchman, 24, is currently embroiled in a stand-off with the Ligue 1 champions after he refused to pen a new deal at the club, meaning he will be eligible to leave for nothing at the end of the season.

Mbappe, who was left out of the club’s pre-season tour of Japan last month, has angered club chiefs with his actions, who believe he has verbally agreed a deal to join Real Madrid at the end of the campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, as a result, Mbappe will not be reintegrated with the first team and will therefore train away from the club’s superstars from Monday onwards.

Earlier this month the forward was linked with a stunning season-long loan move to Liverpool, who he admitted he had previously held talks with prior to his mega-money move to the French capital in 2017.

On Sunday, it was reported by the Mirror that Mbappe would be “prepared” to spend a season on loan in the Premier League ahead of his “dream move” to Real Madrid next summer. Such a stance is said to have alerted Liverpool, as well as Arsenal and Chelsea.

Al-Ittihad ‘enter’ serious negotiations with Mohamed Salah

Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad have reportedly approached Mohamed Salah’s entourage as they look to make a stunning swoop for the Egyptian.

According to the Saudi Arabian publication Arriyadiyah, Salah has been offered a salary of €180 million for two seasons in the Saudi Pro League. It is also claimed that the Saudi Pro League side, who signed Fabinho from the Reds last week, are prepared to pay a €60m transfer fee for Salah – who has two years left to run on his current deal at Anfield.

However, according to Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmoud, Salah will “refuse in a polite way” Al-Ittihad’s offer as he “wants” to continue playing in Europe for “at least” one more year. He also claims, obviously, that Liverpool have “no intention” of selling the 31-year-old superstar.

Liverpool handed double midfield boost as defender injury absence confirmed

Liverpool have received a double injury boost with midfielders Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara returning to full team training.

The pair had been expected to take the latest step in their rehabilitation after long-term injury once the majority of the squad arrived back from the pre-season tour to Singapore last week.

And both teenager Bajcetic and Thaigo were put through their paces over the weekend at Kirkby as the Reds continued their preparations for the new season.

Neither is anticipated to be in contention for minutes in Liverpool’s final warm-up game against Bundesliga side SV Darmstadt at Preston North End’s Deepdale stadium on Monday evening.

But their return to full training is a major boost for Jurgen Klopp having seen his midfield options reduced by the recent departures of both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.

Bajcetic has been absent since March having had his breakthrough season ended prematurely by an adductor injury, while Thiago hasn’t started a game since February due to a hip issue that required surgery in April.

Conor Bradley, who started the first two pre-season friendlies, also missed the Far East tour through injury. And while he will miss the Darmstadt game, his issue is not considered serious.

Liverpool interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ruled out

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have no interest in Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The 24-year-old midfielder bagged a brace in the Foxes’ Championship opening day win against Coventry City on Sunday afternoon but had been tentatively linked with a move to Anfield in recent days.

However, as per Romano, that is one name you can cross off your summer wishlist, Reds!
