Although Liverpool’s pursuit of Fluminense midfielder André has slowed recently, the Brazilian media today reports that talks may soon pick up again.

Outlet According to Netflu, the Reds’ latest attempt to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia was rejected, which may have caused them to reconsider André, who is now expected to serve as their new “plan A.”

According to reports, Liverpool is reportedly planning to resume their pursuit of the Brazilian, with their interest growing in the “coming days.

“The report only focuses on a few aspects that suggest the Reds’ pursuit of André won’t be simple either.
The player is safeguarded by a €40 million release clause, to start. The second is that Fluminense’s board will only negotiate if the player can simply complete the transfer in January, since they are “irreducible” about losing the player in the middle of the season.

As a result, Liverpool is clearly in a less favorable situation and will undoubtedly require additional funds to persuade the Brazilian club to sell the player right away.

That could be one of the factors influencing their decision to prioritize Lavia’s relocation thus far.
