The latest Premier League transfer news around the stadium of great rival Liverpool

Rivals Liverpool are busy in the transfer market to prepare the final steps before the new Premier League season.

The official cut-off point to seal all signatures included in this weekend’s fixture is noon tomorrow, so there’s still room for a frantic rush to get signatures on the dotted line with Full certifications.

The Red Devils are continuing their own talks, although it looks like no new faces will join Jurgen Klopp’s ranks for Sunday’s visit to Stamford Bridge. Some high-flying challengers seem to go further in their plans while others may surprise the next 24 hours.

Let’s take a look at the latest news and rumors about Liverpool’s main rivals heading into the new campaign:

There’s only one name on everyone’s mind when it comes to Chelsea right now – Romeo Lavia

Following initial suggestions that they would be after the 19-year-old Liverpool player, Southern Daily Echo’s Alfie House revealed that they have now approached Southampton with the intention of hijacking the transfer. Their opening offer is estimated to be worth £48m, £3m more than the third offer rejected by the Reds but £2m less than the advertised asking price.

However, it remains to be seen what happens next – Sky Sports claim Southampton are likely to reject Chelsea’s initial package.

However, Lavia is not the only player rumored for the London club, with other details on the agenda.

The Guardian says Mauricio Pochettino hopes to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton in time for Sunday’s game while Sky Sports reports goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is Bayern Munich’s top target. It looks like Tyler Adams could be on his way to Stamford Bridge – with new reports that Chelsea have met a £20m release clause as they prepare to sign the midfielder from Leeds United.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs are believed to have finally accepted an offer from Bayern Munich for the transfer of Harry Kane, opening the door to a potentially shocking big-money transfer for the Premier League.

Negotiations for the 30-year-old have raged throughout the summer, with the north London club appearing reluctant to sell their top scorer to the German champions.

But David Ornstein announced on Thursday that this saga could be coming to an end as a proposal worth more than 100 million euros has now been agreed. It is now said that Kane will decide if he wants to seal the deal.

Man City

Manchester City’s summer dealings appear to be far from complete with two more signatures in the pipeline.

Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol have already been welcomed to the Etihad Stadium and now West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta has been lined up as a third signing. Sky Sports say that Pep Guardiola is willing to spend £60m on the Brazilian midfielder, though apparently no formal offer has been sent as of yesterday. Suggestions are that the Hammers would be looking for around £85m for their man.

In addition, Kyle Walker is destined to agree a one-year extension to his current deal, say the Mail Online, which would make him a City player until 2025.

Manchester United

Erik ten Hag is allegedly in pursuit of two players formerly linked with making the switch Anfield.

First up is Aurelien Tchouameni, the French midfielder that snubbed a move to Liverpool in favour of Real Madrid 12 months ago. Things haven’t gone to plan for Tchouameni and now Nacional via Football365 state that Manchester United have lodged a £60m bid.

Benjamin Pavard of Bayern Munich is the other player linked with Old Trafford. Sky Sports in Germany say that the World Cup-winning defender is wanted as a replacement for Harry Maguire should he depart to West Ham.
