The former Tottenham manager has given his prediction for Liverpool’s opener.

Harry Redknapp believes there are still problems holding Liverpool back this season as they head into the match against Chelsea, but reiterated that the goal is certainly not the issue. Jurgen Klopp faces a tough test at the opening weekend of the Premier League as they travel to Stamford Bridge to join Mauricio Pochettino’s new side Chelsea.

Both sides were busy with the window and spent much of Friday arguing over the transfer of Moises Caicedo from Brighton. An offer of £111m submitted by Liverpool appeared to have solved the problem, but the player’s preference turned out to be Chelsea, leaving the Merseyside team in disarray.

Now, the two will meet in a fiery encounter between two sides desperate to make amends after last year’s disappointing season. Redknapp revealed his predictions via BetVictor for the opening weekend game and revealed that he sees a close but competitive match on Sunday afternoon between the two teams.

“The two teams had a difficult season last year and needed big improvements. Pochettino came and cut the squad, but I’m sure he’ll want to start a few more games,” said Redknapp. a big team like Chelsea last season. I still think this team needs a good striker; although they do not grow on trees.

“I love signing Mac Allister for Liverpool, it will be a success. Going forward, I’m never worried about Liverpool. They have goals for this whole team and can create chances as well as create opportunities. any other team can they keep them apart? That has always been my concern.

“Given the amount of new additions from both sides, it will take time for them to start. It will be even. I predict a draw. He is the new captain and they will have a lot of responsibility for Reece James. . He is a great player and a good boy, he will be the key to Chelsea going forward.
