When the Saudi Pro League tries to poach Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker, Liverpool has learnt that they have little to fear.

After Fabinho was acquired by Al-Ittihad, Jordan Henderson by Al-Ettifaq, and Roberto Firmino by Al-Ahli, Liverpool has been preparing for additional Saudi interest in some of their key players.

Following recent speculations that Salah is still up for moving to Saudi Arabia, it was revealed on Tuesday that Al-Nassr might be interested in Alisson.

However, an update from 90min, Liverpool can breathe a sigh of relief. The former Roma pair are ‘not seeking to leave’ the club at this moment in time, it is claimed.

The report confirms intermediaries have made contact with the representatives of both players to indicate an interest from any of the four Saudi Pro League clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund (Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal).

But neither of their next targets are ‘willing to move to Saudi Arabia at this time’.

Salah signed a contract extension with Liverpool last summer to tie him to the club until 2025, while Alisson remains under a commitment until 2027.

However, according to an update, both of them started Liverpool’s Premier League debut against Chelsea, despite Salah’s apparent annoyance at being removed from the game.Salah and Alisson remain at Liverpool

Salah has been a clear target for the lavish Saudi Pro League because he is one of the most famous Arab and Muslim athletes of all time. The 31-year-old, though, is still a valuable asset for Liverpool and his agency has verified that he is still dedicated to the club.

From 306 games played thus far in his Liverpool career, 186 goals have been scored. There have only ever been four players with more goals for the team.

Due to the steadiness he has given to the position since his 2018 arrival, Alisson must be remembered as one of Liverpool’s best goalkeepers, if not of the modern age.

And despite the initial suggestions from Foot Mercato that the 30-year-old would be “rather tempted” by a new challenge in Saudi Arabia, it appears Liverpool can still look forward to having the goalkeeper in goal.Alisson assist to Mohamed Salah: Liverpool seal win vs Man Utd after Salah scores from brilliant Alisson assist - The SportsRush

He would have been able to team up with Sadio Mane, whose transfer from Liverpool to Bayern Munich last summer never materialized, by joining Al-Nassr.

However, following a summer of notable change at Anfield, Liverpool can now anticipate that Alisson and Salah will still be available when the transfer market ends.
