Since the beginning of the current European summer transfer window, midfielders have been in high demand.

Three teenage midfielders have had bids totaling more than £100 million in the past two months in European football.

Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid, Declan Rice of Arsenal, and Moises Caicedo, who has joined Chelsea, are the players in question.

Enzo Fernandez, the World Cup champion from Argentina, was also acquired by Chelsea earlier this year for about £106.8 million (€121 million).

Bellingham, according to Jamie Carragher, is the best.
Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool player, believes Bellingham is still at the top of the list despite the expanding list of young midfielders who are drawing offers of over £100 million.Carragher recently assessed the £100 million midfield transfers for 2023 on Sky Sports, ranking Bellingham as the best.

Bellingham would come first, followed by Enzo due of his performance this past weekend, Declan Rice, then Caicedo, according to Carragher.

Shortly after Chelsea announced the agreement to buy Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion, who would team up with Enzo in the middle of the park at Stamford Bridge, the former defender interacted with the club.

Carragher’s high expectations for Bellingham, though, are not particularly surprising given how well the Englishman has performed thus far in his Real Madrid tenure.

The youthful midfielder, who cost the team £115 million plus add-ons to get him, scored his first goal for the team last weekend.

Bellingham demonstrated outstanding leadership and maturity in addition to the goal, which was sufficient to demonstrate the qualities he brings to the table.

Real Madrid’s investment in Bellingham may turn out to be one of the best recent ones, and Jamie Carragher undoubtedly agrees, even though there is still a long way to go.
