Bundesliga pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft has claimed Liverpool have reached a good deal at Wataru Endo.
The former Norway international is full of praise for the 30-year-old leader, with Endo seemingly already quite popular in Germany during his time in Stuttgart.
The Japan international appears to have emerged out of nowhere in an attempt to sign a Liverpool defensive midfielder, with Endo now close to a one-time move to Anfield.

Indeed, Endo’s plaudits for his passing and possession will be of particular interest to Liverpool fans, who could soon have a jewel after the midfielder walks through the front door and sign.
Liverpool have been in need of a defensive midfielder all summer, and the Reds have finally landed their man Endo, although there is likely to be another addition based on Jurgen Klopp’s current options.
At 30, Endo is at the peak of his career and has all the qualities to play at Anfield with the right system and coaching, with the midfielder also providing much-needed leadership to the team. .
