On August 19, Liverpool will host the opening Premier League game of the year when they host AFC Bournemouth. Both Liverpool and Bournemouth drew their opening-round matches against West Ham and Chelsea, respectively. When Liverpool destroyed Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield in the previous campaign, Scott Parker, the manager of the Cherries, was fired. Our expected Liverpool starting lineup for the game is available from the Top Flight.

Alisson will once again be the goalkeeper for Jurgen Klopp’s team, which is not surprising. Although there were a few hints that Saudi Arabia was interested in the Brazilian, nothing is anticipated to happen.

On paper once more, the backline should consist of Andy Robertson, Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. As he has previously, Alexander-Arnold will likely transition into a more midfield position.

Curtis Jones might have been ready to make his Saturday debut, but according to This Is Anfield, the midfielder has a minor injury. In the middle of the field, Alexis Mac Allister will once again start with Dominik Szoboszlai after playing quite well defensively against Chelsea. Wataru Endo, a Japanese midfielder, is on the verge of joining Liverpool from Stuttgart, as The Top Flight has reported, although it is likely that the player will be healthy enough to play. For the Reds, Cody Gakpo will complete the midfield.

Diaz, Salah, and Jota will likely make up Liverpool’s front line once more, but Klopp substituted the Portuguese forward in the 66th minute. Darwin Nunez might soon get his season’s first start. In the Chelsea game, he took Jota’s place, although he struggled there as well.

Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara are still out for the time being. Young people Ben Doak and Harvey Elliott should be considered as potential replacement candidates.
