According to Jurgen Klopp, he is not worried that Mohamed Salah would want to leave Liverpool this summer.

Due to their failure to earn a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season, Liverpool will have to make due with Europa League competition.

Playing in Europe’s premier competition feels natural for a player like Salah, but the Egyptian star may have to pass up the chance to pit himself against the greatest players on the continent.

The 30-year-old, who notched 15 assists in addition to his 30 goals, vented his displeasure with the outcome of the season on social media, writing: “I’m utterly upset. There is no justification at all for this.

e had everything we had to qualify for the Champions League the next year, but we fell short. As Liverpool, entering the competition is the absolute minimum.

“I’m sorry, but it’s too early for a motivational or upbeat post. We failed both you and ourselves.

However, despite Salah’s apparent dissatisfaction with how the season turned out, Klopp expects his star player to help Liverpool turn things around the following season.

When asked if Salah’s future bothers him, Klopp responded, “No worries, no.

I could not read anything that could point in that direction; I could only hear what he said.

“Clearly, Mo enjoys being here, and Mo participated. He apologized for what “we” did, not for “what the other guys did, but I had to go with them,” as is often the case. It’s all good now.

Salah has been one of Liverpool’s top performers once again, but it wasn’t enough to get them into the Champions LeagueCredit: Getty “If ever a player would come to me and said, ‘oh, we didn’t qualify for the Champions League, I have to leave’, I would drive him to the other club myself. “I would take the key, (and say) ‘come in the car, where do you want to go, I drive you’. “That would be something I never could understand. It is, I would say, ‘oh, we didn’t qualify for the Champions League, I need to work in the Champions League so I go’.” Klopp added: “I am responsible for this mess, or whatever, so you cannot go in these moments.

“It is not the case with Mo, not at all, and nobody else told me. They ask if they can have a longer holiday or whatever – but nobody asks me if after the holiday they have to come back. “So that was not in our conversation. “I saw him now in the canteen and he was smiling. I don’t know for which reason as I didn’t ask him, but he is not in a bad mood. That’s it.”
