Alexis MacAllister and Mohamed Salah stood out for Liverpool against Leicester City as the Reds cruised to a 4-0 victory under Jürgen Klopp

In a 4-0 rout of Leicester City, Alexis MacAllister and Mohamed Salah stood out for Liverpool under Jürgen Klopp.

Ben Doak was on hand to nod home at the back post as Liverpool continued to press forward and scored four goals for the third game in a row.

At halftime, Jürgen Klopp made 10 substitutions, including Dominik Szoboszlai, who had missed the friendly match against Greuther Fürth the week prior. This was another opportunity for Klopp to evaluate his team. The Hungarian international was on the field for little over 30 minutes before being replaced by Calum Scanlon. After an hour had passed, Alisson Becker entered the game to take Caoimhn Kelleher’s position. Melkamu Frauendorf was given a late cameo.

How do you begin? The midfielder Alexis Mac Allister was outstanding, while Mohamed Salah once again shone as he contributed two more assists and connected nicely with other strikers. It was also a memorable occasion for Bobby Clark, who added to his status as one of the team’s rising stars by scoring the second goal for the Reds.

Although it would be unfair to declare anyone the loser of this game, the players who appeared in the second half weren’t put to much of a test, so that won’t help their own causes much either.
