Mikel Arteta has been encouraged by Oleksandr Zinchenko’s comeback, who is back in full training ahead of Arsenal’s Monday matchup with Crystal Palace.

Zinchenko is most likely to replace Timber at left-back, and Gabriel Magalhaes is anticipated to start after spending the majority of the victory over Forest on the bench. Ben White would move to right-back and by-trade midfielder Thomas Partey would leave the back four.

During his pre-game press conference, Arteta praised Zinchenko, saying, “Alex has been doing really well.” He has been working out with us, and maybe we will have him very soon.

When asked about Jesus, who is recovering from a knee injury that flared up during preseason, the Arsenal manager added: “Gabi still not available and not fit, but the rest is all good.”

Even though Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has joined the team on loan, Aaron Ramsdale will continue to play at the other end of the field. Ramsdale will now have to contend with fierce competition for his position, and Arteta has defended his choice to sign another elite goalkeeper, a move that has drawn criticism from both critics and supporters.

The Spaniard said, “There were also questions when we had various goalkeepers. “It’s nice to have two top-notch goalkeepers; there’s nothing wrong with that. We have two outstanding left wingers, two outstanding attackers, and two outstanding holding midfielders. Declan, Thomas Partey, and Jorginho are here; this is not a problem and shouldn’t be a problem.
