Tottenham transfer news: In the wake of Harry Kane’s departure, Spurs may seek assistance from a London rival.

With Harry Kane gone, Tottenham will have a big pair of shoes to fill for the remainder of the summer transfer season.

Richarlison, a Brazilian international, is the only player Ange Postecoglou’s team is counting on to step up and perform, but considering his previous season, they’ll want to keep looking for alternatives in the transfer market before the month’s conclusion.

Spurs are not only interested in signing forwards; various central midfielders and defenders have also been connected with them after a successful transfer window that already saw the signing of James Maddison.

In light of the fact that everything is still up in the air, football.london has looked at the most recent odds on SkyBet and has identified the following potential targets for Postecoglou’s team.

Romelu Lukaku’s drama throughout the summer has been spectacular. He was linked to Inter Milan and Juventus, but neither move materialized, leaving him an outcast at Chelsea’s training facility. He might, though, find a better fit in London under Postecoglou, whose team is the favorite to sign the Belgian.

Dusan Vlahovic is an additional striker option to replace Kane, and given Spurs’ desperate search for a frontman to partner with Richarlison, they are once again the favorites here even if it’s most probable that he will remain at Juventus (odds of 1/2). He would offer the club a track record of recent goal scoring, and he may be a top choice if the team wants to make a big splash.

Another spectacular story that has recently captivated English football. Despite signing a five-year deal upon his arrival, Gnonto is now refusing to play for Leeds United following the club’s relegation from the Premier League and is now attempting to push a move away, something Spurs might take advantage of. He was effective and intelligent throughout his games with the Whites last year, and his addition to their team would be welcome.

The 15 goals Watkins scored last season were a personal best for the Englishman, another frontman with Premier League experience, but you have to believe Aston Villa would battle to keep him on staff under Unai Emery. Watkins’ replacement is less likely than Kane’s, but he’d still be a good addition.

In this transfer window, Chelsea may also sell Gallagher to one of their London rivals after they signed Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. Lukaku is not the only player Chelsea may do this. The 23-year-old is a presser who would blend in well with Postecoglou’s system.

Postecoglou’s team may pursue the quick 21-year-old, but they are by no means the favorites. Manchester City (13/8 favorites), Chelsea (3/1), and West Ham are all keeping an eye on the Belgian winger. Even if Spurs are a little further down than the other clubs, the bookmakers still name them as a possible choice for Doku.

The superstar from Brighton would be a fantastic way to make up the goals lost by Kane’s departure after lighting up the league in his breakout season during their previous campaign. Though Brighton has been merciless in sticking to their guns on price tags they have placed on players, he would undoubtedly cost a hefty penny. Newcastle (33/1) and Manchester City (7/2) are further teams with an interest.

The 22-year-old apparently has a £50 million price tag on his head following his combined 22 goals during Forest’s last two seasons, but that won’t dissuade Spurs, who will have to beat over Chelsea as the favorite to sign the rising star this summer.

The ‘Big Six’ have taken notice of Luiz, who was an unexpectedly significant component of Aston Villa’s comeback under Unai Emery last season. The oddsmakers, though, think Spurs are still trailing the favorites Liverpool at 7/1 and the opposition Arsenal at 8/1. However, a player of his caliber would add valuable experience and defensive skills to the team.

In a two-horse race for Martinez, Spurs are third. The more likely alternatives for the Argentine frontman are Chelsea and Real Madrid, and the long odds make sense given that guys like Lukaku and Vlahovic have far shorter odds and are arguably better players overall.

After replacing Christian Romero due to a concussion and giving up two goals in the first half last week, Postecoglou may decide to strengthen his defense in the last weeks of the transfer window by making a bold signing of five-time Premier League champion Laporte. City apparently accepted an offer from Al-Nassr for him, so if they wanted to sign the 29-year-old, they’d have to act swiftly.

After it was reported earlier this summer that Bayern no longer considered Kimmich to be “unsellable,” the German was connected to a plethora of teams searching for a new central midfielder. He’s not the most likely prospect for Spurs to add to their midfield, despite having the funds to do so, with Liverpool the 7/1 favorites.

Erik ten Hag reportedly overhauled the midfield over the summer after his partner-in-crime Fred left the club. While West Ham (13/8) is the most likely place for him to go up, he might also end up at Everton (12/1) or Spurs if he wants to stay in England’s top division.

Hugo Lloris’ departure from Tottenham over the summer has left them without a key member of the team, forcing them to sign Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli as their top goalkeeper. The prospects of a move to swoop in and get Emi Martinez are extremely strong because it’s unlikely that they will go to another Premier League club to compete Vicario for his spot in the team.
