Tottenham are likely to see plenty of movement in one particular department before the transfer deadline.

As Ange Postecoglou works to improve his team, Tottenham’s transfer negotiations are expected to last until the very last minute. The Spurs manager, who has already established a close bond with senior scout Leonardo Gabbanini, reportedly gave chairman Daniel Levy three choices.

The focus of Tottenham’s last week of the summer transfer market may be on transfers in and out of the central defense position. There are several additional transactions in the works in that area, in addition to the signing of Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg and the loan departure of Joe Rodon.

Not least of all due to Postecoglou’s desire to remove multiple center backs from his payroll. If the perfect opportunity arises, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, and Japhet Tanganga are all regarded as expendable.

Departures would create room for Levy to negotiate another arrival after Postecoglou and Gabbanini had already given him a list of three defensive targets.

Football.london reports that the pair thinks Perr Schuurs, Gleison Bremer, and Tosin Adarabioyo are all deserving candidates to strengthen the back line. According to reports, Postecoglou and Gabbanini adopted data-based scouting to come up with the three names in question.

After developing in the Eredivisie and spending the previous season with Torino in Serie A, Schuurs has a wide range of experience and a ton of playing time. Also rumored to have fans at Arsenal and Liverpool are the 23-year-old.
