Liverpool remain close links with Andre Trindade and the Brazil international has been granted personal terms to sign a contract with the Merseysiders.

Yesterday we covered a report (via Globo) that the Reds were ready to offer €30m to land the player but Fluminense turned down the record sale and want him to feature in the Copa Libertadores.

According to Emmanuel Luiz, Andre is pushing to join Liverpool and has already agreed personal terms with them.

According to ESPN, the Reds are keen to sign the 22-year-old before the transfer deadline closes next week. However, Fluminense’s main goal is to win the Copa Libertadores and for that they need Andre, one of the best players in the team. This could change if they are eventually eliminated from the competition. The Tricolor plays against Olimpia in the round of 16.

The first leg will be played tomorrow evening, the second leg on August 31st. On the other hand, the summer transfer window closes on 1 September, at 11pm UK time.
So if Fluminense were knocked out of the continent’s top league, it could fulfill Andre’s wish to join Liverpool.

Not to mention, the Anfield club have the option to force the move by activating the €40m release clause.
We’ll see how the transfer saga unfolds and keep you updated.
