Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina has been linked to Liverpool this summer, and Fabrizio Romano has now given the most recent information.

Since the Reds missed out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, there have been rumors that they are interested in a number of midfielders. One of them is Amrabat, although Romano stated on Kick that no move is planned.

Since the World Cup, Sofyan Amrabat has been a target for several Premier League teams, and early this month Liverpool emerged as the newest team to be connected with a desire to acquire him.

Fabrizio Romano recently disclosed that the Reds contacted the player and his club to inquire about the requirements for signing him.

Amrabat has also been strongly connected to Manchester United, and if Romano’s most recent report is to be believed, Jurgen Klopp’s team is no longer a concern for the Red Devils.

According to the writer, Liverpool has told Fiorentina directly that they won’t be trying to recruit Amrabat this month.

“However, they called after 24 hours and stated that they were no longer interested, that they would not submit a bid, and that they would not begin formal discussions.

Therefore, Amrabat and Liverpool were never something real or tangible; they were only requests for information.

Amrabat’s potential signing by Liverpool never seemed feasible.

He is not a poor player, but he doesn’t have the same profile as Moises Caicedo or Romeo Lavia, two players that Liverpool were quite interested in signing.

It will now be intriguing to see which targets Liverpool will target. Wataru Endo immediately covers the vacuum in the middle of the park, but the Reds would be wise to sign another midfielder.

But it’s unclear if that will occur in the following week or so.
