The departure of Antonio Conte dampened Tottenham’s eagerness to make a transfer, as negotiations between Barcelona and Tottenham over Clement Lenglet “have stalled.”

According to Sport, Ange Postecoglou has expressed “little interest” in including the Frenchman in his team.

Lenglet was a regular under Conte during his loan season at Tottenham last year. He established himself as a crucial player and appeared to be in line for a permanent contract.

The two clubs held conversations over much of this summer, but were unable to come to a mutually beneficial deal, thus that has not yet occurred.
Tottenham is adamant about paying the lowest price feasible because they believe they will accept Lenglet’s high salaries and thereby aid Barcelona. The main difficulty has mostly been the amount Barcelona has demanded.Despite the Catalans’ desperate attempts to send Lenglet on, there hasn’t been much progress in the negotiations, and according to Sport, Postecoglou is to blame.

They say that talks have stopped and that Postecoglou has shown “little interest” in acquiring the player thus far, according to people close to the player’s entourage.

He could still decide to transfer, so there’s still a chance for that.
