Fabio Carvalho is on loan at Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, on loan from Liverpool

Prior to his departure to RB Leipzig, Fabio Carvalho made some remarks about Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, that were misunderstood.

After seeing his game time on Merseyside curtailed at the start of the year, the former Fulham prospect was given the chance to play first-team football with Die Roten Bullen in Germany.

Following his transfer from the Cottagers, Carvalho struggled for stretches in the first team and scored an important goal against Newcastle United in his first season with Liverpool.

He hopes to support Marco Rose’s team this year as they attempt to compete with Germany’s top teams and build on their recent DFB Pokal victories.

Concern was raised when Carvalho discussed his first season on Merseyside before Leipzig’s debut in the Bundesliga and explained why things “didn’t work out” at Anfield.

To be fair, the 20-year-old stated of his conversations with Klopp before being loaned out, “I don’t really speak to him. He truly didn’t provide me any guidance. Simply put, I had to learn as I went along, and I believe that’s healthier for my development nonetheless. both personally and as a football player.

However, Carvalho admits that it was a mistake in an interview with channel NDTV. I chatted with Jurgen Klopp,” he stated. I claimed in that interview that I hadn’t discussed moving to RB Leipzig with him.

“There was a small miscommunication. I spoke with James Milner, captain Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez, and Trent (Alexander-Arnold) regarding the players.

I talked to a few players, and they simply advised me to keep practicing and pushing forward because things will eventually turn around. That, I believe, is my mentality: to keep working hard.

Naby Keita and Ibrahima Konate were acquired by Liverpool from Eastern Germany. Throughout their time in the Bundesliga, both players experienced good times with the club.

Carvalho took note of Konate’s progress and is keen to see Leipzig make the same kind of rapid strides. The midfielder with Portuguese ancestry continued, “I spoke to Ibu (Ibrahima Konate) when I signed. I texted him, and we had a conversation.

“I didn’t talk to anyone while I was there. I only spoke to him after I had signed, and he was quite complimentary. I was able to witness his progress from this point on. I am only focused on being here right now.
