Dominik Szoboszlai is already dreaming of a championship after an impressive Liverpool debut. The Hungarian was man of the match on his Anfield debut in an impressive performance against Bournemouth and will aim for bigger goals this season. Ahead of the Reds’ move to Newcastle, Szoboszlai revealed he wanted to “win everything” at the club and was not interested in another position.
“Everything we can do this year. I want to win everything, because no one asks you what it’s like to be the other
. “I always think so. Although it is difficult and there are very good teams in the Premier League, we are also very good,
we have a very good coach and a very good player. We will do our best and in the end you want to be the first.
Szoboszlai joined the club as part of a summer reshuffle that saw Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo make up for the departure of five experienced midfielders.
The 22-year-old added that he and his newbie had already hit it off when they met in a new environment.
“It’s not just our decision [how we play], it’s the manager’s decision how we play and build the team,” he continued. ”
Macca is new, I am new, Endo is new. We understand each other very well, although Endo has only had two training sessions and one game. We will improve even more with time, but we will see.
It’s not a luxury for those with a new engine to arrive in time as the Reds look competitive on all fronts after a disappointing 2022/23 campaign. Szoboszlai seems to have complete faith in his new teammates and a winning mentality. Let’s hope these goals come true in May!
