Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has given a glowing assessment of new signing Joel Piroe after he scored on his debut v Ipswich on 26 August, calling the forward “unbelievable”.

The Dutch striker arrived at Elland Road on August 24, made his debut on August 26, and in typical manner, managed to score, showcasing his abilities to his new team and demonstrating why he may fetch up to £16 million.

Farke has nothing but admiration for his new acquisition, not only for his goal-scoring prowess but also for the way he engages his teammates and his demeanor off the field.

After the win over Ipswich, Farke told Leeds Live, “I think his statistics speak for themselves, he’s an amazing quality player who can deliver end products. He scored over 20 goals both the previous season and the one before that.

We made sure to get an extremely humble and industrious character as well as numerous technical skills because he provided many assists and was also a pretty excellent teammate.

“He is able to link plays and find passes, and we definitely needed goals as well because, particularly in the last games, we were lacking.”

The fact that his new manager gave Piroe such high praise is a credit to the talent he possesses. Piroe immediately made an impression on the Yorkshire club, living up to the expectations placed on him when he joined from Swansea.

After scoring a total of 41 goals in his previous two full seasons with Swansea, Piroe is a dependable goal scorer in the Championship. Piroe has impressed Farke in ways more than simply his ability to score goals.

If Leeds wants to achieve their long-term goal of finishing towards the top of the table come May and receiving promotion back to the Premier League, there is still work to be done, although
