Despite the pressure Ipswich Town put on the Leeds goal, he only had to stop a small number of shots on goal. A couple stray balls required him to come out and claim them, but other than Cody Drameh’s hospital pass, he mostly handled everything. Later on, he made a few saves to raise his score. 7
2 Luke Ayling (c)
done ok. remained quieter than other of his teammates and their markers, keeping Conor Chaplin. ably assisted Wilfried Gnonto on the right side. removed some sticky situations from the back. 6
21 Pascal Struijk
A challenging afternoon for the center back. The majority of offensive passes in the first half seemed to miss their targets and lose control. Then, in the disastrous second, there was the own goal while failing to play till the whistle. After the break, improved.
25 Sam Byram
Before he really got going, he went down with an injury. put in a standout block as Ipswich prepared to shoot. 6
22 Archie Gray
Not quite the same impact he had in earlier games. battled and scrapped for the ball, though not always successfully. A few hurried forward steps from distant locations led to some dissatisfaction with the ball turnover. 6
4 Ethan Ampad
Steady. fought all afternoon with Sam Morsy, who throughout the match appeared to have too much space in the middle along with Massimo Luongo. 6
29 Wilfried Gnonto
carried a respectable threat all afternoon. With the amount of possession Ipswich had, he may have had to play defense more frequently than he would have liked, but he had a fantastic anticipation for his goal. 8
Joel Piroe
On your debut, a goal will do. At the top of the pitch, he immediately added more physicality and presence, and he displayed some nice skills that the squad could improve on. The goal was at the ideal moment and location. 8
Occasionally entered the game, but when he did, he was electrifying. His strike, which resulted in Piroe’s goal and his own finish after the interval, was a cut above. a good player.
Georgino Rutter, age 24
benefited from his teammates’ improvements. His close control was great all around, but it had a particularly big impact on his first goal while wearing Leeds colors. an exhilarating front four.
