According to the German media, Nadiem Amiri’s transfer to Leeds United should be finalized this week.

Kicker had earlier on Monday claimed that the player had changed his mind and was now open to the move after canceling it over the weekend.

Now that Bayer Leverkusen didn’t have a practice on Monday, Bild is ready to make even stronger charges that Amiri left for Leeds then.

The player allegedly didn’t anticipate receiving many opportunities at the Bundesliga team this year and instead chose to negotiate a ‘lucrative’ four-year contract with the Whites.
According to Bild, the trade will benefit ‘both parties’ since Bayer may get €6 million from the sale of a player they wouldn’t use.

Bild appears to acknowledge that the transfer is likely to occur but does not indicate that it is a given. Probably due to Amiri’s propensity for sudden change of heart.
