Serie A side Genoa have now reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the loan of Tanguy Ndombe.
Reporter Fabrizio Romano shared the latest update on the 26-year-old’s future.
Tottenham have just over 48 hours to move several players from their squad.
Ange Postecoglou’s team is too big at the moment and yesterday’s result does not help matters.
The Carabao Cup gave Tottenham the chance to give the wingers a chance to play. Without European football this season, Postecoglou will be reluctant to turn the Premier League around.
But a penalty kick loss to Fulham dashed their hopes of challenging for that silverware.
There are also anxious players on the team who realize this may be their last chance to start a game for a while.
One player Genoa are trying to pry away from Tottenham is Tanguy Ndombele.
The Frenchman was not part of yesterday’s squad because he is not part of Postecoglou’s plans. As he is one of the club’s biggest earners, Spurs need to find a solution to his future as soon as possible.
Genoa reached an agreement with Tottenham for Ndombe
Romano said on social media on Wednesday morning: “Genoa have reached an agreement with Tottenham for the loan of Tanguy Ndombe.
“Genoa is now working to convince the player.
“Spurs want to find a solution for Ndombele before Friday, but now it’s up to the player because Genoa have given their best.”

It may not be easy for Genoa to sign Ndombe from Tottenham this summer.
Last season he won Serie A with Napoli, although he was mainly used on the bench. After that, a move to mid-table Italy might not be too tempting.
However, he will probably play a lot more minutes in Genoa than he did at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Tottenham are doing everything they can to convince Ndombe to move to Genoa.
He has already turned his nose up at other potential moves this summer, but this move could be more tempting.
It is disappointing that once again Spurs have failed to sell Ndombele as the loan move goes through.
