Under Mikel Arteta, the’supremely gifted’ midfielder had a wonderful first half of the season at the Emirates, but like Nuno Tavares, his form plummeted in the second half.
After playing very little throughout the first half of the previous season, Lokonga was loaned out to Crystal Palace in January of this year. There, he put up a few standout performances, most notably one against Liverpool.
The Belgian has no longer a future at Arsenal, and according to GFFN, the player’s agents have given Liverpool the opportunity to sign him before the transfer market closes on Friday.
