On Friday at lunch, the little brother will be drawn for the Champions League – the Europa League. Processing will begin on 1 September at 12pm BST, the Europa League draw will take place at 1.30pm BST.

Thanks to their epic Europa League final win over Fiorentina, West Ham will be rewarded with entry into European football’s second biggest competition this season, joined of course by the Premier League’s

Liverpool and Brighton.
All three English clubs have different styles and will probably have to adapt given the strength of some potential opponents in this competition.

David Moyes is delighted that the Hammers have been placed in Pot 1, which means they will miss out on some of Europe’s heavyweights in the group stage. However, complex and long-distance connections can be found ahead.
