Liverpool have rejected a £150m bid from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad for Mohamed Salah.

After weeks of speculation, the Saudi Pro League club finally announced a strong bid for Mike Gordon on Thursday night.

But This Is Anfield understands that was ruled out as the Reds opted to hold on to their star man this summer.
Al Ittihad’s bid was worth £100m guaranteed, with a further £50m worth of add-ons.

It remains to be seen if they will come back with a better offer if they want to bring an Arab icon to the emerging league. But Liverpool are ready to stand firm with the imminent closure of the Premier League transfer window a major concern

If they sell Salah after Friday’s transfer window, the Reds will not be able to find a replacement until January.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday morning, Klopp insisted that nothing had changed about his No.11.
“The situation will definitely remain the same,” he said. “There is no doubt. We cannot [sell Salah]. That is correct. There’s nothing else to say.”

Asked if he had received an offer, he said: “I don’t know, but to be honest, it doesn’t mean much.”
