Liverpool are set to sign the services of 27-year-old Bayern Munich superstar Leroy Sane before the end of the transfer window.

Liverpool want to sign Leroy Sane, according to a report from Football Insider. The 27-year-old striker has done wonders for Bayern Munich in recent seasons and also has experience of playing in the Premier League. Therefore, the Merseyside club sees him as the perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Eygpt International has been the talk of the town in recent weeks due to interest in its services in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad have pushed hard to sign the Liverpool ace.
They recently made a £150m bid to sign the 31-year-old. However, Liverpool rejected the offer.

The Reds have no intention of parting with Salah in the current transfer window. And their manager Jurgen Klopp has said so publicly several times. However,

Al Ittihad still needs his services. While the Merseyside club are reluctant to lose Salah in the current window, they have begun looking for world-class replacements. A bigger bid from the Middle East could tempt Liverpool to sell, which is why they started looking to sign Leroy Sane.

The 27-year-old joined FC Schalke before moving to Manchester City, where he flourished over the next four years.

Thanks to his impressive performances, Bayern Munich acquired his services in 2020 for a reported fee of £54.8 million. Since joining the Bundesliga, he has played in a total of 136 matches and scored 77 goals. The Germany international has been consistent and Liverpool believe he is fit enough to fill Salah’s boots. The 27-year-old can provide similar creativity and is also a goal threat.

Although Sane prefers to play on the left side, he can operate as a right winger as well as a striker. The former Manchester City winger has plenty of experience playing in the Premier League and will have no problem adapting to life in England.
