Leon Osman praised Dominik Szoboszlai after the Hungarian broke Liverpool’s deadlock inside three minutes against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Osman was speaking on BBC Radio Five Live after the Reds took off at Anfield as the 22-year-old opened his account at the club.

Dominik Szoboszlai is threatening to become an absolutely inspirational signing for Liverpool. The former RB Leipzig man has impressed in every game so far since his summer switch.

And now he has his first goal. Szoboszlai took a corner that beat everyone in Aston Villa’s penalty area. The attacking midfielder then unleashed a brilliant shot into the net which was beautifully deflected off the deck by Emi Martinez.
Osman praises Szoboszlai after first Liverpool goal

It was always a matter of time before Szoboszlai got his first goal for the Reds. And Osman was full of praise for the Liverpool star after the magical moment.

“Great ending. “He was just hanging on the edge of the box and the pass was quite neat, wide,” he told BBC Radio Five Live.
“It just went through the whole pack and he took the ball with a brilliant flight. Nice half net and great connection to it.
“It’s a great goal and a great start from Liverpool. A really, really poor start from Aston Villa.”

Szoboszlai moved to Merseyside with decent money. And Jürgen Klopp’s side have barely made many signings in recent months.
But it’s certainly fair to say that Szoboszlai was actually one of the most underrated window shoppers of recent times. He already looks so comfortable in Liverpool’s midfield.

Szoboszlai has already been excellent several times. And now he supports it with red gates. It was a wonderful end for the young man. And based on his start to life at Anfield, you’d think it would be the first of many for the club.
