‘Good job’ – Ian Doyle praises the Liverpool duo for their role before Szoboszlai’s goal
Dominik Szoboszlai gave Liverpool a very early lead against Aston Villa this afternoon, although Ian Doyle also praised the contribution of the two players to force the corner from which the goal was born.

The Hungarian scored for the Reds for the first time in just three minutes. He fed from a set-piece that Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah helped force when the visitors won a corner under pressure.
Providing an update to Anfield a reporter said shortly after the goal: “Soboszlai had a great attack there, but the first corner came from Salah and Nunez, who put the Villa defense under pressure in their own half. Good work by Nunez apart.”

Jürgen Klopp places great importance on all Liverpool players working tirelessly off the ball and was pleased to see Nunez and Salah put pressure on Villa’s defense early on.

If there were any doubts or fears about the Egyptian’s interest amid the continued interest of Saudi Arabia, he very quickly put them to sleep with his attempts to force the visitors to concede a corner from which Szoboszlai scored.

Unlike the last game at Anfield two weeks ago against Bournemouth, the Reds got off to a great start today and will be hoping to build on that to maintain their promising start to the season.
