Despite four days of speculation over a move to Saudi Arabia, Andy Robertson is confident Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool.
The Saudi Pro League has now officially confirmed that their transfer window will close on Thursday 7th September.

There were earlier concerns about the extended deadline to the end of the month, leaving Premier League teams at the mercy of Middle Eastern bids.

Instead, there are just four days left for clubs such as Al-Ittihad, who saw an unofficial £150m bid for Salah rejected last week, to sign players.
Salah scored the third goal of the afternoon as Liverpool beat Aston Villa 3-0 on Sunday and Robertson was asked after the game about the Egyptian’s future. “It’s not a concern for us,” he said when asked if there were concerns about the new offer.

“For us, Mohamed Salah is a Liverpool player and we believe that will be the case for the foreseeable future.”

Meanwhile, Salah kept his head down despite Al-Ittihad’s progress. He has two goals and two assists in four games this season.

He played the full 90 minutes against Villa at Anfield and shared a hug with Jurgen Klopp as Kopi praised him and his team-mates.

“He’s the ultimate professional. He does what he does,” Robertson continued. – He is one of the best players in the world and he is a professional. He lets other people talk, he lets other people say what they have to say.

“But he is always dedicated to Liverpool and I think we saw that in his performance today.”

Klopp has been an outspoken critic of the Saudi Arabian transfer window, which extends beyond the Premier League deadline, and Salah is not the only player interested.
Fabinho and Jordan Henderson were set to join Al-Ittihad and Al Ettifaq this summer, while Luis Diaz had offers turned down and there was interest in Alisson, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez.

But Robertson is adamant, as are those within the club, that Liverpool’s case is closed, with his focus now on the campaign ahead. “We block [speculation]. Mo blocks it [like] everybody else. We let other people talk about it and everything,” added the left winger.

“But our team is what it is, it’s a team that goes forward with the window closed.
“It’s about getting the most out of the team, looking forward to next season and of course trying to do better than last season.”
