Leeds United fans are optimistic about signing Jaidon Anthony, following the loss of Luis Sinisterra on deadline day. Anthony is considered a high-class championship winger who brings more creativity and a dual threat. He will have to compete with other quality options in the squad, but his ability to contribute both creatively and goal-wise is crucial to Leeds’ attacking style.

Luis Sinisterra was the latest Leeds star to leave Elland Road this summer, but the Yorkshire outfit did not leave empty-handed.

Jaidon Anthony was signed in the final moments of deadline day and turned the other way when the Colombia international moved to Bournemouth. The 23-year-old winger is on loan for the season and has returned to the Championship after being away in 2021/22. achieved success in the ranks of the Cherries.

The academy graduate burst onto the scene that same season, making 45 appearances in his debut campaign, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.
Anthony has since shown his talent on the big stage, making 33 Premier League appearances, but is now in for another fine Championship campaign.
How do Leeds United fans feel about Jaidon Anthony?

Antonio’s transfer was somewhat expected due to the pandemonium on transfer deadline day. However, FLW Leeds United fans expert Kris Smith is optimistic about a deal with the Whites.
Speaking to Football League World, he said:

“Because we lost Sinisterra in the last minute of the deadline, I think giving up Jaidon Anthony as part of this deal is absolutely brilliant business.
“The club did very well in negotiations all summer, given the circumstances, how many players we left on loan and not a lot of money coming in, and to see another one go on loan and bring in a top-level Championship winger on the other hand is impressive.

“Especially with Anthony, I think we get a player who is very rarely injured and obviously touched wood with our luck, while he showed great quality by cutting inside and going the other way, went wide so he got a double threat for him out. , especially when the entire spine overlaps.
“I think it’s going to go under the radar because of how much chaos there was when Sinisterra left, but he’s a great signing.”

What competition does Jaidon Anthony face? Gnonto
The departure of full-backs Luis Sinisterra and Jack Harrison to the Premier League side is certainly important, but Leeds lack quality options at this level.

Daniel James and Crysencio Summerville completed either side of the attacking quartet against Cardiff City on the opening weekend. The latter was sidelined for the next few games due to injury, with Jamie Shackleton at right-back.

Summerville has since returned to action, while young star Wilfried Gnonto has also returned to the squad after a move to Everton failed to materialize and then continued behind the scenes despite controversy last month.
The Italian youngster repaid the manager’s faith by scoring against Ipswich as he returned to the front of the Yorkshire side in a seven-goal thriller.

With the goals so far spread across the team and nobody scoring more than one, Jaidon Anthony will be needed on both the creative and goal-scoring fronts as Leeds return to their old attacking ways. The Bournemouth loanee are ready to bid for Patrick Bamford, Joël Piroe and Georginio Rutter in the hope of an immediate return to the top flight.
