Ryan Gravenberch has

decided to leave the Netherlands under-21 team during the break.

The midfielder signed for Liverpool from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window for around £34 million. Gravenberch missed Sunday’s 3-0 win against Aston Villa after failing to register for the Premier League in time and instead watched from the stands at Anfield.

Gravenberch was a minor player at Bayern last season and is determined to disrupt Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Liverpool. To build momentum, he will not represent Netherlands under-21s in the upcoming games against Moldova and North Macedonia. A statement from the Dutch football club said:

“Ryan Gravenberch will not be traveling to Zeist for this international to join the Dutch youngsters. The Liverpool FC midfielder has informed KNVB coach Michael Reiziger that he wants to focus on his new club in September. International . Therefore, he will not be available.” ”

It will certainly be a boost for Klopp, who will now be able to work with Gravenberch for the better part of a fortnight.
The 21-year-old hopes to find himself in contention when Liverpool travel to Wolves on Saturday September 16. The Reds are already sweating on the form of Ibrahima Konate and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Konate missed the previous two matches due to injury and then withdrew from France duties. However,

Alexander-Arnold repaired his hamstring in the win against Villa and was substituted in the 71st minute. It means the right-back has been left out of the England squad for the wins over Ukraine and Scotland.
