Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted Mohamed Salah is not going anywhere, but Al-Ittihad are still planning to table a new and improved bid for his services this week.

Liverpool are set to receive a world-record £215m bid from Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah ahead of a move to Saudi Arabia which starts on Thursday.

Salah, 31, has been heavily linked with a move to the Middle East in recent weeks as Al-Ittihad saw a mammoth £150m bid rejected by the Reds in the closing stages of the English transfer window last week.
Jurgen Klopp has insisted that his talisman will not be sold at any price and that the Egyptian superstar cannot leave Anfield this summer, but that has not stopped Al-Ittiha from putting together a new and improved offer.

According to The Sun, Salah’s suitors are ready to make a new bid to beat the current world record transfer fee with add-ons by Thursday. Such a proposal is believed to fetch the Reds around £215m. Anfield favorite Jamie Carragher admitted last week that while he was reluctant to entertain the idea of selling Salah, his former club simply could not afford to turn down an offer in excess of £215m for his services.

Carragher told Sky Sports: “If you look at what Harry Kane was looking for, around £100m, and he’s a year or two younger, but he was only one year into his contract at Spurs. Salah has two years left, he will stay.take care very well.Liverpool could be sold now, they don’t want his value, they want more.

Al-Ittihad are planning a new and improved £215m bid for Mohamed Salah
“Without the Saudi market he wouldn’t be worth £150m, probably closer to £100m. But why did they leave it so late? If they wanted him so much and wanted to spend, why didn’t they do it six months ago , when would they have caught him?

It’s about Liverpool and Salah, maybe he doesn’t want to leave. I think even for the supporters who love him and don’t want him to move, there’s a point where they can’t turn it down and that would be £215m.

While it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can resist a world record bid for Salah, their failure to sign before the January transfer window would serve as a huge warning to any potential deal.
Salah only signed a new three-year deal with Liverpool last summer to end speculation about his future following a move to Real Madrid. Since joining Anfield in 2017, the striker has scored 188 goals in 309 appearances for the Reds.
