Liverpool supporters debated whether the Egyptian would even want to leave after a big money move for Mo Salah from Al-Ittihad.

Well, money is the obvious reason – unfortunately it makes the world go round – but Gareth Roberts and Paul Cope put that aside when discussing Salah’s future.
There is no sign of Salah leaving, at least for now, and most Reds agree he will stay.
Speaking on This Is Anfield’s The Late Challenge podcast, Roberts said: “We still have a huge amount of uncertainty and we know that Sky Sports, talkSPORT and the tabloids will continue to build on it because it’s the only (broadcast story) they have now have. .”

The Saudi Pro League transfer window is open until September 7, which has led to reports of transfers in sections of the press. “There seems to be a lot of conflict with the Mo stuff right now and it looks like it’s going to continue until Thursday when we can catch our breath one way or another,” Roberts added.

However, the Liverpool reserve questioned why Salah would want to move in the first place, with Cope saying: “I see people refer to it on TV: ‘Is he past his prime?’

“Is he past his prime? Just look at the numbers, no he’s not! He’s still absolutely flying and how has he started this season? Absolutely flying.
“Does he look fit? She looks better than ever!

Roberts added that Salah could ruin his Liverpool legacy if he leaves now. Ed, who was at the game, explained: “Why do you want to ruin all your Liverpool heritage?

“You are among the top five goalscorers in the club’s history. You can still top it, you can still win things with Liverpool.

“You know, you’d go there (to Saudi Arabia) for semi-retirement. Obviously it’s an absolute s**t show behind the scenes in terms of organization, facilities and everything.
