Former Crystal Palace manager Simon Jordan has told Manchester United to swap manager Erik ten Hag for.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp if they want to win the Premier League title. The Red Devils appointed the Dutchman before the last campaign to take him away from Ajax.

The Ten Hag got a decent life in Manchester as he guided United back into the Champions League for the first time, claiming third place in the Premier League. The 53-year-old even ended his first season with silverware after leading his side to the Carabao Cup, although United then beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

However, the start of the Red Devils to the new campaign was poor, as the team managed to collect only six points from the opening match. Last month, Ten Hag’s team beat Tottenham 2-0 after a miserable game. In another trip to North London at the weekend, United lost 3-1 to Arsenal.

Ten Hag faces a tough challenge as he looks to help his team compete for Premier League and Champions League glory. And Jordan believes Klopp would be better placed to win silverware with United given his success on Merseyside.
Man Utd have been ordered to replace manager Erik ten Hag

“Is Ten Hag the best in class? I would argue that no. I really don’t see him ending the club’s title drought, Jordan wrote in the Daily Mail. “United really need someone like Jurgen Klopp, someone who can take everything and carry the huge responsibility of managing such a huge club and make it successful.

“Someone who can harness the club’s spirit and energy of past glories and set standards and results reminiscent of years gone by. Sound like Ten Hag? I don’t think so. However, it took four years for Ferguson and Klopp to win their first trophies in England, so maybe Ten Hag will prove me wrong when he gets time to win the biggest prizes.

The Ten Hag hit the headlines at the weekend when he dropped Jadon Sancho for a trip to the Emirates Stadium and spoke about the winger’s performances in training. And the comments of the Dutchman did not please Jordan.
“But we have four games to go in the new season and he is already sidelined,” added the 55-year-old.

“The best managers who end up achieving something don’t call out players publicly. When they do, it’s usually because they’re cheating and haven’t had any answers.
“Time will tell if Ten Hag does that, but if he doesn’t it won’t be because the Glazers own Manchester United. Whatever Mr. [Gary] Neville wants you to believe.”
