Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are preparing one final offer for Mohamed Salah but will come back in to sign him if they do not land him by Thursday’s 10pm deadline

The Saudi Arabian transfer window will officially close at 10 p.m. on Thursday, and now, according to sources close to Al-Ittihad, they fear it is too late to complete a deal for Salah.

However, Al-Ittihad’s pursuit of Salah will continue after this. According to the report, if Salah is not signed by the Jeddah-based team this summer, they plan to pursue him again in subsequent transfer windows.

Al-Ittihad have been busy adding to their squad in the summer transfer window, including Karim Benzema, Fabinho and N’Golo Kante, as well as Nuno Espirito Santo. And they wanted Salah to add another quality to their attack as they look to defend their Saudi Pro League title.
As for Salah, he has not publicly commented on Al-Ittihad’s interest. But Reds team-mate Dominik Szoboszlai admitted the striker had spoken to the Liverpool dressing room and assured them he wanted to stay in a fellow squad.
“You know it’s football, everybody’s talking. We are very glad he stayed. Of course we talk to each other, but he [Salah] wants to stay, he wants to be here and be with us and he will stay. We are really happy – we need people to join the team

“You can tell it’s football because everybody is talking. We are overjoyed that he decided to stay. Of course, we are conversing privately, but Salah wants to remain, wants to be here and with us, and he will remain. We are overjoyed because the squad needs players like him, he stated on Sunday.

Klopp also spoke about Salah after he scored his first goal of the season against Aston Villa. The Liverpool boss said: “I’ve never had any doubts about his commitment to this club. You can’t imagine how much fuss the world has made but how calm we are about it.

“He is our player and he wants to play here. He didn’t tell me [he wanted to stay], but he didn’t have to. He talks about his training and performances and behavior. We had meetings this week and the meetings were not about what we did before, but about what we will do in the future.
