Getafe’s sporting director has defended the Spanish club’s decision to sign Mason Greenwood, claiming “he will be here all season”.
Getafe signed 21-year-old Greenwood on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

The striker has not played since his arrest in January 2022, in February the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) dropped charges of attempted rape, control and coercion and grievous bodily harm.
United announced that Greenwood would leave Old Trafford in August after their own six-month investigation.
Therefore, the Premier League club rushed to find a new team for the player. Getafe asked for Greenwood on deadline day but only agreed to sign him on loan. They are believed to have defaulted on the loan and United are still paying most of their wages.

Simon Jordan has hit out at former Man Utd captain Gary Neville’s criticism of the Glazer family, pointing to the club’s problems far deeper than the owners.

Neville, who was part of the side in the early years of the Glazers’ ownership, has been a vocal critic of United’s ownership in recent times.
Last weekend he accused them of “frustrating goals” at Old Trafford for treating the club “like a toy”.
For the past 10 months, the owners have been involved in the process of selling the club, but the outcome of that process is still up in the air and it is feared that they will now stay.

Of the predictable elements in the “justification” of Jordan Henderson’s move to Saudi Arabia, the most ridiculous was an old chestnut that makes light of the affairs of this oppressive country. It’s the kind of familiar nonsense that high-profile Newcastle United fans routinely spew when the Saudis bought their club.

It’s a line used by golfers who take Saudi money, and used by boxing promoters – but they don’t bother anymore because taking big fights there is now the norm.

Jamie Carragher believes Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool for the Saudi Pro League but predicts he will stay until next summer.
Although English clubs can no longer buy players, Saudi Arabia’s transfer window remains open for another 24 hours.

Liverpool are preparing for Al-Ittihad to make another move for Salah after rejecting £150m last week, with a new offer expected to be in excess of £200m. Although it remains to be seen whether Liverpool’s stance on the sale will soften before the Saudi deadline, Al-Ittihad are expected to make a move for Salah in the new year if their latest bid is rejected.

Jordan Henderson has been left out by Simon Jordan after the former Liverpool captain revealed he is finally joining the Saudi Pro League following his move to Al-Ettifaq in July.

“It’s ridiculous for him to say he didn’t go to Saudi Arabia mainly for the money,” Jordan told talkSPORT. “I don’t care if he’s chasing money or not, but the bottom line is why he went there.

“Jordan Henderson can’t beat the inevitable. I wish he would turn around and say “one influence was money”. You are an international footballer, you play for Liverpool and you go to a league with huge sums of money.

“So what are the other overriding reasons? I’m sure he cares, but actually worrying and then suffering because I don’t go to a certain environment is not something he wants to do.

“I don’t blame him for going there with an excessive amount of money regardless of his age. At the end of the day, footballers are there to enjoy their careers and if someone is foolish enough to pay them £400,000 or £500,000 a week, that’s up to them.”

That’s what we have tonight. But check back tomorrow as we have the latest news and rumors on the final day of Saudi Pro League transfers.

The much-maligned Glazer family are once again under fire from Manchester United supporters after the club’s value fell by more than £500m.

The news comes amid speculation that the American owners will take the club off the market a full 288 days after publicly announcing their intention to sell.

Manchester United wanted to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham before signing Sofyan Amrabat.

This is according to The Athletic, which reckons that Erik ten Hag was impressed by the performances of the Portuguese against the Red Devils. Palhinhan is also said to be interested in a move to Old Trafford. However, United opted for Amrabat instead, who signed a season-long loan with the offer
Turkish Super League side Trabzonspor are trying to sign Nicolas Pepe.

Pepe, 28, is above Arsenal’s demands and was seemingly on the brink of a move to Besiktas, but Foot Mercato now claim via GFFN that Trabzonspor are making a late bid for Pepe’s signature.
Pepe has just one year left on his current Arsenal contract and is expected to finally move on in the coming days.
With just 24 hours left in the Saudi transfer window, Liverpool are preparing for another top bid for Mohamed Salah.

After having a £150m bid rejected last week, Al-Ittihad will return to the table with a bid that could top the current world record transfer fee.

It remains for Liverpool to give in and agree to sell Salah, although the situation is complicated by the fact that England’s transfer window is now closed – meaning they cannot sign a replacement until January

Bayern Munich could offer Jadon Sancho an unlikely escape from Manchester United in January.

As United decide whether or not to offload Sancho following his public spat with Erik ten Hag, the 23-year-old striker could be offered a return to Germany.
According to Fichajes, Bayern is monitoring the situation and could
