Marie Denise DeBartolo York is an American billionaire businesswoman who owns and co-chairs the San Francisco 49ers American football team and Leeds through 49ers Enterprises.
She is the daughter of the late construction magnate Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. and the late Marie Patricia Montani DeBartolo. His company, 49ers Enterprises, and the new-look Leeds hierarchy were tasked with providing Daniel Farke and his coaching staff with the foundation and squad for promotion.
Andrea Radrizzani was Leeds chairman and majority owner of the club before taking over this summer. In January 2017, he bought 50 percent of the share capital of Leeds United, becoming co-owner of the club with Massimo Cellino. On 23 May 2017, Radrizzani took over the club completely when he announced that he had bought 100% of Leeds from Cellino.
49ers Enterprises previously owned 44% of the club and wanted to become the majority owner by purchasing the club from Radrizzani. In a deal now approved by the EFL, the Leeds chairman has been taken over from the Italian by the club’s former vice-chairman and board member Paraag Marathe.
However, Angus Kinnear continued in the role of chief executive and Rudy Cline-Thomas was named as the club’s new vice-chairman. They also added Gretar Steinsson and Nick Hammond to their recruiting team.
Jordan Spieth is also one of the many investors in the club after taking over 49ers Enterprises.
Michael Schwimer revealed a list of names that partnered with Big League Advantage to invest in Leeds, including Spieth, Michael Phelps and Larry Nance. Leeds will be hoping to return to the top flight as they make their first attempt at the title. The 49ers will observe that this season, investing in the first team, bringing in Ethan Ampadu, Glen Kamara and Joel. This summer, Piroe, Karl Darlow and Ilia Griev will strengthen their ranks.

The investment arm is worth $5.97 billion (£4.79 billion) and is the 11th richest sports entity in the world, according to Forbes.
According to Deloitte, Leeds received €223.4 million in revenue in 2021-22, with only 17 clubs around the world earning more that year. About 61 percent of that came from transfers, but 27 percent came from commercial transactions and the remaining 12 percent was earned on match day. Of course, it has taken a hit since relegation, but it puts Leeds in a decent financial position when parachute fees are taken into account.

The Daily Mail has revealed Paraag Marathe’s plans for Elland Road in the near future following his successful takeover of the club in the summer.
The report says there are already more than 20,000 season ticket holders in Leeds, with a further 20,000 on a waiting list.
Leeds Stadium’s expansion plans are said to increase the capacity at Elland Road to 55,000, almost enough to accommodate everyone on the waiting list. He can only fulfill that promise if he secures immediate promotion this season.
