Salah was included alongside Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba as a top transfer priority when Saudi rulers initially approved their massive spending plan. The two were slated for probable moves in 2024, but Salah’s plan was expedited by one year.

Al Ittihad’s verbal offer of £150 million was rejected, and after promising to surpass Neymar’s £200 million sale to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, they were unable to persuade Liverpool to consider proposals for Salah.

Director of the Saudi Pro League Michael Emenalo recently acknowledged that there may be additional attempts to sign Salah in the future. Martins, who joined Al Khaleej in January, anticipates that these efforts would begin as early as that month.

At the Thinking Football Summit, Martins told Stats Perform that if the transfer goes through, “another big star will be arriving here to the country.” “Also very special would be playing against Salah.

“It didn’t happen [this time], but I believe they will try to bring him again in the next market in January. Let’s see what happens.

“I will be overjoyed because Salah is a player I like and he reminds me of myself in terms of hair and playing style. I like Salah, so I want him to visit Saudi Arabia.

According to 90min, Salah is interested in moving to the Middle East, and Saudi officials are still determined to sign their top target because their transfer strategy has always been centered on 2024.

Al Ittihad was the center of attention this summer, but it is unclear whether they will make an attempt to sign Salah the following season. The Public Investment Fund (PIF) is also capable of making bids on behalf of the other three clubs they control, Al Hilal, Al Nassr, and Al Ahli.

Salah committed to a new three-year deal with Liverpool last summer, keeping him at Anfield through 2025, so there will only be 12 months left on his deal then.
